Hobart Deli

Been working two days in a row so far. The beauty of it is I can enjoy the day time before work and doing things I like. The down side, often it turns into procrastination and nothing particular productive is done. Tonight will be my third night shift.  Can’t wait till Tuesday off!  I fancy going out for lunch, so we went to Hobart Deli in North Perth.

I am a little surprise there’s a boutique style cafe in the inner street of North Perth and I have never heard of it!  The weather was beautiful but a little too chill to sit on the out side.  We settled ourselves by the window side.

My bro was being very lovely and treated me and mum for lunch.  He ordered Brie beetroot chicken baguette.  I got a serve of pine nut craisin halloumi salad while mum got prosciuto potato salad.  I also fancy a skinny latte while gary got a skinny long mach.  Our salads were delicious.  I love halloumi and when it’s thinly sliced and pan fried golden on both side.  The slight saltyness goes well with the sweetness of craisin, while the nutty smell of the pine nut compliments it well.  Mum’s salad was also lovely.  The potatos were baked with skin on and just lovely with greens with a light dressing.  Although the prosciuto was a little hard and dried.  They use Crema coffee, very lovely to finish off after my meal.  We were enjoying ourselves too much I wanted to linger a bit longer.  So mum and bro ordered second round of drinks.  Gary ordered strawberry water melon juice (that came with such cute blue and white paper straw).  I had a sip and it was really refreshing.  Mum got a skinny latte like me. We also got a serve of the raspberry butter cake and it was very lovely.  The tartness of the fruit with the buttery taste was divine! I always love it when cafe spends the effort baking their own cakes!  We left with a happy full tummy.  The down side, it’s a little costly consider the meal portion.  They also have ready to defrost dinners in their fridge, I would love to try it next time.
